All I can say is wow! Your home is the fantasy English cottage! Gorgeous!Cynthia
I was just enjoying your past posts when I found the February 16th entry, My Favorite Dress. I was a teenager who had a weight issue, and hid from cameras as well. To this day, I simply detest being photographed. No matter how thin, or good I look, it can't erase the thought patterns grooved during those formative years. Id love to know if anyone has any success with these dysmorphic issues?Cynthia
As a teenager my bro used to make me walk in front of him for fear that his school friends might see us together! For me is is exercise that has made the difference. I just see healthy or unhealthy, nothing else matters, fat, thin, short, tall, as illness has started amongst my peer group, health is all that matters and when I'm in that mind set it gets over issues from the past.
It is so so beautiful! Cynthia - that's so odd, I too had a terrible weight problem and now I can't bear having my picture taken, I don't like looking at myself, isn't it odd how that has affected us all? All I see is "ugly flaws" It has made blogging quite a challenge!
It is amazing, really. I wish there was some answer, but I haven't found it yet. Your "mysterious" photos just add to your beauty. It is clearly there.
It's crazy that we all think like this, blogging def helps, we didn't have a mirror in the house for 20 years, so seeing any image is a bit weird at first. But cameras are kinder than well lit mirrors, so it breaks you in gently. I'm still not good at my reflection after a few drinks though, something in my brain just sees huge teeth, nose, wrinkles, bad hair, elements of truth in all of it, but not the total troll that I see!
Beautiful cottage. :-)
Thank you and the us has shone all day, couldn't have been better!
What a beautiful, picture-book perfect, chocolate-box cottage :)
Just a few things to do on the inside, although I have a feeling we could be making some things worse rather than better!
I would love to hear from you and quite happy for some lively debate so feel free to say what you think! ....
